Executive Officers | President - Bryan Enochs | | 2010 will mark Bryan Enoch's tenth year as a member of the ISUG Board of Director and his third as the President. Prior to his current role he spent two years as the Vice President of Products & Enhancements. Since joining the Board of Directors in 2001, Mr. Enochs has also served as the ISUG SIG Director (2001-2002), the North American User Group Director (2003-2004) and the Enhancements Director for Tools and Solutions (2005). He has also served as the Orlando Sybase Tools User Group President for the last 6 years. Bryan is a Senior Technical Staff manager at AT&T Solutions managing a team of PowerBuilder developers, and has been an advocate of Sybase technology since 1994. Mr. Enochs continues to explore ways for Sybase to support their user groups and increase the interest and use of Sybase technology. His own areas of expertise are in client/server, n-tier, distributed and web programming as well as being a senior Sybase DBA. He has been an ISUG member since 1996. | | Secretary - Martin Clark | Martin Clark now runs his own consultancy, having most recently served as President of Enable Development, a London-based software house that develops companion products for PowerBuilder. He divides his time almost equally between Europe and Asia. While his companies have used PB since the late 1990s, Mr. Clark has been involved in software localization and distribution since 1989. His dotcom-era venture is still operating, albeit with reduced ambitions. As a UK chartered accountant, Mr. Clark also has broad multinational experience in chain retailing, business consultancy and audit at director level. Mr. Clark is committed to working for the effective expansion of ISUG based on the practical needs of members. | | Executive Director - Mike Harrold | Mike Harrold has been associated with ISUG for several years now, having spent four and a half years as a member of the Board of Directors before being hired as the organization's first Executive Director in June 2007. Before this, Mr. Harrold worked extensively with Sybase products, such as ASE, Replication Server, OpenSwitch and Sybase IQ in his prior life as a DBA. A native of England, Mr. Harrold currently resides in the United States in Columbus, Ohio, with his wife, four daughters and two cats. | | V.P. of Finance - Eric Van Patten | | Eric Van Patten is an application architect with over 10 years experience in the client/server and distributed world. He works mainly with PowerBuilder, but has vast knowledge of other development tools as well. In addition, he has previously experienced life as a DBA and currently works with most major of databases in the marketplace. As a member of the ISUG Board of Directors, Mr. Van Patten has previously performed the duties of Vice President of Business Relations, ISUG Journal Director, and has also served as a member-at-large. | | V.P. of Membership - Anne Walker | | Anne Walker has been in the IT industry for over 16 years and started using Sybase products back in 1994 as a Powerbuilder developer in the banking industry. She joined Sybase as a ASE consultant/trainer in 1998, and for the last five years has been the Sybase DBA with the Treasury department in St George Bank, Australia. Ms. Walker is the President of the Sydney based Sybase User group and has been working toward more Sybase User Groups in Australia. Having previously served as a Committee Director, and Asia-Pacific Regional User Group Director, Anne now moves up to the Executive level as Vice President of Membership. | | V.P. of Business Relations - Cynthia Gill | | Cynthia Gill is Director of Marketing for Intertech Consulting, Inc. and has been a strong advocate for Sybase for many years. She has previously served as ISUG's V.P. of Finance/Treasurer from 2004-2006, Member-at-Large in 2002 and 2003, ISUG Journal Director in 2001, Conference Director from 1997-2000 and SIG Director in 1995 and 1996. Mrs. Gill successfully implemented the Virtual SIG concept within ISUG by forming the IMPACT SIG and the EDI Products/HIPAA SIG. She managed and implemented the first Sybase training facility in the Southwestern portion of the United States, and also served as past president of the Texas Sybase Users' Group for 3 years. Mrs. Gill's management and organizational skills have contributed to the conference coordination as well as other ISUG initiatives for the ISUG Board. | | | Directors | A.P. Regional User Group Director – Joe Woodhouse | Joe Woodhouse is the Principal of Prima Donna Consulting. He has worked with Sybase technology for fourteen years, and was with Sybase Australia for eight. He is active in the Sybase User Groups of Sydney and Adelaide, and has been organising the Sybase Melbourne User Group for several years. Mr. Woodhouse is especially keen to help other Sybase users in the region start their own local user groups. | | EMEA Regional User Group Director – Jeremy Chubb | | Jeremy Chubb has been an active member of the Sybase community for 10 years. Jeremy started working for a software house half-owned by Sybase and has since worked as a DBA at a number of worlds largest financial organisations, including Rabobank, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs where he has both broadened his experience of Sybase products and helped develop and improve their use within each organisation. | | N.A. Regional User Group Director – Cindy Bean | | Cindy Bean is the Manager of Pre-Sales Support for the Surveillance and DBControl products at Bradmark Technologies. She has been working with Sybase products for over 15 years as a DBA, consultant, and product manager. Ms. Bean previously served on the ISUG Board of Directors in many roles, most recently as Vice President of Membership. Prior to that, she served as Conference Director, President, Past President, Vice President of Events and Media, and North American Regional User Group Director, a role she is now reprising. She is currently the Secretary of the Sybase Users' Group of Texas, where she also served as President and Vice President. Ms. Bean has been an ISUG member since 1995. | | S/LA Regional User Group Director – Jean-Pierre Dareys | Jean-Pierre Dareys is a versatile IT professional with experience in the installation and maintenance of computer equipment, programming and managing client resources. His experience includes database design and administration, consulting, training, technical support, pre-post sales of products and services, lecturing at international conferences, and participating in the creation and maintenance of global heterogeneous, distributed and replicated systems. Mr. Dareys has worked with Sybase technologies for more than twenty years, including a decade as a Sybase, Inc. employee in New York City, and has extensive experience with products including Sybase ASE, Replication Server, Open Switch and Sybase IQ. He has worked in all types of industries, such as consulting, VARs, retail, financial, media and communications, showcasing the multiple facets of his profile and roles, including taking the lead in small life cycle development projects. | | Benefits Director – Sheri Page | Sheri Page is the owner of Acumen Industries, LLC, a Maryland-based independent consulting firm servicing the DC area. She has experience in multiple industries, including banking & finance, marketing, government, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and education. Ms. Page has worked with Sybase dataservers since 1994, and more recently with Replication Server and Sybase IQ. | | Communications Director – Michael Bendorf | | Michael Bendorf is the Manager of Client Software Development for First Pacific Corporation, an Oregon-based company that provides a full suite of dental practice management services. Michael has experience in many industries but primarily has focused on creating Windows© software for the medical industry; spending the last 15 years working with electronic submission standards and electronic claims adjudication. Mr. Bendorf uses Sybase ASA extensively in the development and deployment of the software solutions his team provides. | | Enhancements Director – Aryeh Silverberg | | No biography available. | | Partner Director – Marcelle von Wendland | | Marcelle von Wendland has been responsible for the development and marketing of solutions based on Sybase products including PowerBuilder and Sybase database products since the early 1990's. As Director in charge of product management at Bancstreet, she has both a hands on technical and marketing background.
