SAP Sapphire Now and TechEd: A Worldwide Showcase

By: Mike Harrold on Dec 01, 2012

SAP staged its Sapphire Now and TechEd 2012 conferences and exhibitions this year across multiple international locations with the US and Europe featuring events in Las Vegas and the Spanish city of Madrid respectively. With Sybase technologies now firmly embedded into the SAP stack and Sybase’s John Chen now politely given his option to leave the fold, there is a new level of SAP fervour pervading at all levels across the business and much of it revolves now, unsurprisingly, around HANA.

The distinction between the two conferences is described as follows:

For Sapphire Now, SAP offers its customers, partners (and let’s not forget prospects too) opportunities to engage in dialogue with peers, participants and thought leaders around the globe to gain insight as to how SAP is delivering on its product strategy.

For SAP TechEd which of course now incorporates Sybase TechWave as a “wholly consumed” element, this show brings IT managers, software developers, administrators and business process experts together to learn in an interactive environment directly from the experts responsible for SAP technology.
