    Session Summary:  This session will enable you to take away a firm understanding of the various ways that SAP HANA enables and supports application development, including options, tradeoffs, and core concepts.

    Session Details:  In addition to it’s prominent role as a database which features innovative technology, SAP HANA is a platform for developing and deploying all kinds of applications. See an overview of the various architectural approaches available when building an SAP HANA-based applications. Gain an understanding of the options for native SAP HANA development: Extended Application Services (XS for short) and River. Grasp how SAP’s widely used language, ABAP, has been renovated and optimized for use with SAP HANA. Examine how SAP HANA supports application development using well known development approaches such as Java, .Net, etc. Delve into key principles important for developing any type of application that runs on SAP HANA, such as “pushing down” data-intensive operations into the SAP HANA database in order to ensure maximum performance. Take away a firm understanding of the various ways that SAP HANA enables and supports application development, including options, tradeoffs, and core concepts.
